BIO

Madison (she/they) is a queer, intersectional feminist theatre maker, activist and teacher. She recently finished her Masters in Contemporary Theatre, Dance, and Dramaturgy at Utrecht University in the Netherlands. Their research is centered around dramaturgical procedures of new-hope in queer contemporary performance, and intersectional practices in arts institutions.

They are currently engaged in the artistic practice the day after yesterday with Utopia Syndicate, a theatre collective founded out of friendship and with the aim to speculate utopia. Read more about Utopia Syndicate here.

She has co-founded a feminist theatre company in Montreal with Leni Krivy (Hey Lady! Productions) and a musical theatre company in Ottawa with Chris Santillán (CMTS).

She holds a BFA in Performance Creation from Concordia University in Montreal, Canada.
